Lorisian healthcare laboratory testing services have over 30 years experience in diagnostic laboratory testing. When measuring food intolerances specific Ig G antibodies are measured from a small finger prick sample of blood.
What does a Lorisian food intolerance test involve?
Following a consultation your medical history is taken and then a small finger prick blood sample is taken. This is then posted to the laboratory and the results are available within 5-10 working days. The results are posted to you with a comprehensive information booklet from Lorisian explaining how to manage your results. Further support is available either via phone consultations or via a follow up appointment at the practice.
How long does the appointment take?
45 minutes for consultation, medical history and sample
Please note you should not take the test if:
- You are pregnant or breast feeding
- Under the age of 2
- Taking steroids or immunosuppressants
- Suffering from blood borne diseases e.g. hepatitis, H.I.V.
